Let’s get real for a moment. Is there really any prettier time to be outside than in the fall?<\/p>\n

The answer is no! So many of you already know how much I adore the autumn season. We’ve talked pumpkins, home tours and vignettes but one of my all time favorite things to do in the fall as a family is to break out the fire pit and blankets and enjoy some yummy s’mores outside on our patio. When I think about this time of year, our first fall in our current home automatically comes to mind. I adore those memories of my little family all gathered around the fire just chatting about things with our little one. It’s the epitome of quality time in my book. That’s why I thought it would be appropriate to share with you the outdoor fall essentials I’m crushing on this season to get your back porch ready for a night by under the stars!<\/p>\n

My Fall Outdoor Essentials<\/h2>\n

I recently wandered into my local Cost Plus World Market<\/a> in Kennesaw and was instantly inspired! I went in to pick up a few items for our back patio but also found myself admiring their\u00a0Thanksgiving dinnerware<\/a> and dining furniture<\/a>. I’m already planning and looking forward to all the holiday gatherings. If you’ve got a Halloween party in the works their Halloween decorations <\/a>are fantastic as well! It’s such a fun place to get inspired for the fall season. You can find your local store using the store locator<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I found some really great items for using on that porch this fall and want to share just a few of my favorite items that any fall night under the stars needs!<\/p>\n

The Perfect Lighting<\/h3>\n

If you don’t already own a fire pit or fireplace outside, don’t walk, run! It’s a total game changer. It makes those evenings outdoors much cozier. Cost Plus World Market <\/a>have so many beautiful fire pits and each one is very affordable. I personally love this hammered copper chiminea<\/a>! We keep the fire going by allowing our four year old to help dad hunt for the perfect logs. This grass Luke log basket<\/a> is perfect for keeping them all organized and in reaching distance. Stringing lights is another great way to add lighting.\u00a0We live in a wooded area so having the extra light is a must and they’re a great way to outline the party area! These\u00a0Edison style lights<\/a> are perfect. Don’t forget to add a little ambiance with some lanterns. I like to set them on the sides of the patio and in between seating for a little something extra. I just love these antique geometric lanterns\u00a0<\/a>I found.<\/p>\n

Staying Comfy<\/h3>\n

One of my favorite things about fall evenings is the chill in the air. It’s important that you keep comfy and warm. Add a couple cozy throws like this gray and black plaid throw<\/a> or this super soft ivory textured throw<\/a>.\u00a0Let’s not forget a pillow or two! I’m currently crushing on these Mongolian faux fur throw pillows<\/a>. Staying comfy is key to any successful outdoor gathering!<\/p>\n

Serving Essentials<\/h3>\n

Is any fall evening complete without s’mores and hot cocoa? My four year old would say, “no way!” He’s our little s’mores addict. We can’t fire up the fire pit without him asking where the marshmallows and chocolate are. He’s a little guy after my own heart! I love a good s’more but I also enjoy a warm mug of hot chocolate. This fall I’m really loving this salted caramel hot cocoa mix<\/a>! It’s a fun take on traditional cocoa. To make it easy I always use a tray to carry everything out on. This rattan tray<\/a> with handles is just perfect for that! It holds your s’mores ingredients as well as a few mugs for your cocoa. Speaking of mugs, I spotted these adorable dipped mugs with gold handles<\/a> last trip to the store and instantly fell in love!<\/p>\n
