October is one of my favorite months of the year. Our home is just cozier in the fall. Today, I’m sharing a look at our home and all of the natural and cozy elements that I’ve incorporated into my fall decorating. <\/em><\/h4>\n

\"Fall<\/p>\n

October and November are my favorite months of the year. I love the warm colors, the crisp air, and all the comfort foods. Our home has always felt a little cozier in autumn. When it comes to decorating for the season, I don’t do very much. I’ve found that the natural elements of fall are all you need. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our candles get a workout in the fall and winter months. The warm glow requires one to curl up with a good book and a warm throw.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I like to swap out my summer linens for ones with warmer tones. I recently made a new slipcover for our ottoman with a JSH fabric that I’ve had on hand for years. The gold color is perfect for this time of the year and I love that each of these fabrics will go right into Christmas perfectly. I’ve link the block print pillow cover below.<\/p>\n

My tutorial for this pinecone garland can be found HERE<\/a>. It’s the perfect natural touch for fall and can also be used at Christmas time, just swap out the ribbon. This is the first time that I believe that I’ve done an autumn garland and I love it! It’s so simple, yet so festive. <\/p>\n

Adding a little velvet ribbon to sconces is one of my favorite tricks in decorating. It’s so easy to do and a nice unexpected touch. <\/p>\n

Our dining room is one of the brightest rooms in our home. In the fall the sunlight turns to a slightly warmer glow. I love the cozy vibes in this room. <\/p>\n

Our den is the center of so much. It sees a lot of family movie nights, game nights with friends, and lots of laughter from my kiddos. I try to keep this room a little less fussy. All of the pillows in this room see the floor on a regular basis and the antique chest gets pushed from one end of the room to the other. <\/p>\n

This space functions beautifully. We use every cabinet, basket and drawer to store all the things that don’t look the best on display. I really like to keep any extra decor, besides family photos, at a minimal.<\/p>\n

I keep the pillow covers in this room pretty neutral. Each one can be used throughout the year no matter the season. To reflect the current season I brought in cozy throws with warm colors, an autumn scented candle, and of course a pumpkin. <\/p>\n
