Summer has been such a full season. We’ve stayed up late watching movies, worked tirelessly in the garden, and ventured out to the beach. Here’s just a glimpse of our home currently, so take a peek as we say goodbye to summer and hello to autumn. <\/em><\/h4>\n

And just like that, summer is practically over. It’s always seems to be gone as quickly as it arrived. We spent our summer swimming, attending soccer games, introducing Charlie to a few classic movies and topped it all off with a week long beach trip to our favorite spot. This summer was very much the – we came, we saw, and we conquered scenario! Did you have a similar summer? <\/p>\n

Today I wanted to share a few snap shots that I took a week or two ago of our home before we completely close the door on the summer season. I know so many people have already moved on to fall linens and decor, but I like to keep things light and airy here until after Labor Day. Although I love my home the most in the fall, there is something that is so calming and refreshing about it in the summer months. It feels completely lived-in and I love that about it. <\/p>\n

\"\"The early evening light is my favorite in the summer. It’s gives our house a warm glow. I’m loving this view lately. My mom purchased this beautiful vintage lamp from a local antique shop for my birthday this year. She certainly knows the key to my heart!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our summer has been terribly hot and dry, so I’ve already cut several of my lime light hydrangea blooms to dry. I’m very grateful that we have so many hydrangeas in our yard because it allows me to cut and bring in a lot of flowers each season. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our pantry doesn’t see to much action in the summer… too hot to bake. We’ll be changing that next month. I’m ready to dive into some new fall recipes.<\/p>\n

We recently moved our tall TV cabinet to our basement when I found this sideboard on the FB marketplace. I had been hunting for the perfect one for a couple of years. This guys only cost $150 and it’s just what I had pictured. I love that this furniture piece doesn’t compete with the height of our fireplace mantel.<\/p>\n

There’s that warm evening glow again. Our breakfast nook gets blasted with afternoon sun, which makes it a bit warm in the summer, but in the fall it’s just right. I’m looking forward to gathering around this table again. <\/p>\n

I don’t believe I’ve shared our powder room\/ laundry room in quite some time. Almost three years ago I painted it this pretty blue grey. I’ll have to do some digging in my basement for the color combo. I had to mix a couple of paint colors together to get just the right shade. The photos just don’t do it justice. The color is so dreamy that I ended up painting the planked ceiling as well. <\/p>\n

I’ve been working on a sink skirt to hide the pipes of this sink. Attaching it to the sink as been a bit challenging. Hopefully I will get it installed soon so I can share a before and after of this room. I’m anxious for you to see it. <\/p>\n

I wish I had more photos to share, but with an 11 month old running around, it’s been a bit crazy. Did I mention she’s walking now? Audrey started walking a month ago today and she hasn’t sat still since. She’s very much like a tornado, getting into anything and everything. In spite of that, we’ve found immense joy. She is so much fun and has such a big personality already. I’ve just begun to plan her first birthday party and I’ll be sure to share the details of that here.
