Hello everyone! I’m so glad you’re here to join me for our second Christmas tour of the season. Today I’ve joined several blogging friends to share our homes with you all. If you’re coming over from Juliet’s lovely home at Make Mine A Spritzer<\/a>, welcome! Yesterday I shared our foyer, but I’m even more excited to share our living room with you today. This room is always my favorite this time of year. I love the old fashioned style and warmth this room has. It has the perfect English country Christmas feel. <\/p>\n

This year I decided not to purchase any new holiday decor but instead use only what I already had. This tree has always been special to me. I purchased it for a only $20 eight years ago from the clearance section of Ballard Designs. It was missing its stand and had been shoved into a dark corner. This tree always holds our sentimental ornaments. It’s a collection that has been growing for the last 17 years. Josh and I like to pick one ornament each Christmas that holds some meaning for that year. With the red velvet ribbon and warm lights, it’s the epitome of romance and nostalgia. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The beautiful garland<\/a> is fresh garland from one of my favorite companies – Lynch Creek Farm<\/a>. Each year I use their garlands or wreaths and have always been so impressed with the quality. They were gracious enough to send this thick gorgeous garland to me. I had planned to drape it across our mantel, but after receiving it I realized that it was plenty long enough to dress the mantle entirely. It was a bit of a risk, but it turned out even been than I could have imagined. Monday night at midnight I was busy adding faux pomegranates, pinecones from our travels, glass ornaments and ribbon. I’m thinking some lights might also be in order just for a little extra magic. <\/p>\n

We’re still rocking these chunky knitted stockings. I just love their timeless style, and the red velvet ribbon gives them the perfect pop color. I made sure to double check that they’re still available for purchase and they are! You can find them in cream or red here<\/em><\/a>. <\/p>\n

This chair is known as “mom’s chair” in our house. I almost put away my basket of gift wrap before I took photos but left it instead. While the pile isn’t always this neat, it’s reflective of my life in the month of December. Each week can find me in this room watching a Christmas movie and wrapping gifts. It’s one of my favorite ways to spend an evening during the holidays.<\/p>\n

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a love of ribbons, pretty papers and tags. A couple of weeks ago I finally launched my first set of papers and customizable tags. You can shop those here<\/a>. Fall linens were swapped for linens in soft greens, deep reds and creams. I love a mix of plaids and florals for the holidays. <\/p>\n

This little antique table found a new home along the wall of our new butler’s pantry<\/a>. It’s been the perfect place for us to keep some of our favorite board games. <\/p>\n

Just a simple berry wreath is the perfect festive touch for this antique secretaries desk. Our old wooden toy soldiers also found a home here. I’m excited for this view once all of my paper whites bloom. It’s going to be such a pretty sight this New Years. <\/p>\n
