It\u2019s hard to resist a cozy space. Our living room now has a new cozy corner and I\u2019m sharing how you can easily create a cozy corner in your own home!<\/em><\/h3>\n

Hello friends! I had planned on sharing an antique dresser makeover with you today, but I haven\u2019t finished it quite yet. Honestly, we\u2019ve been spending a lot of extra time on ancestry.com. Josh and I both have had the best time running down family members and building our family trees. If you haven\u2019t ever checked it out, I highly recommend it.<\/p>\n

Instead of sharing a dresser makeover, I\u2019m sharing this cozy corner in our living room! A couple of weeks ago I picked up a late Christmas present from my mom – this early American table. It fits this corner perfectly and I love the warmth it has added to this room.   <\/p>\n

The drop leaf table that used to be in this spot has been in our TV room. In November I had to move it for our Christmas tree and I loved it there so much that I couldn\u2019t bring myself to move it back. This left this corner a little empty and I\u2019ve been on the hunt for something to replace the drop leaf table ever since. As soon as I spotted this little guy at a local antique store in Woodstock, Ga. a few weeks ago, I knew it was the perfect piece!<\/p>\n

How cute are those lines? I fell in love with the side edging right away. The bottom shelf is perfect for holding some of our board games. It fits the wall so well it\u2019s as though it was made for it.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had a lot of fun styling it with a few of my favorite things. Not too long ago, I picked up a long, narrow basket at a local shop to hold magazines in this room, but I didn\u2019t have the right table at the time to put it on. I love that it fits this table perfectly! <\/p>\n

I also spent last week swapping out family photos in the frames in our living room and in our den. I just wish I swapped them out more often, but time always seems to get away from me. Swapping out photos is such a great way to freshen up a room on the cheap. You can update them to reflect the season or as your children and family grow. I like to have a mix of old and new photos sitting around. <\/p>\n
