Hello friends! Can you believe it? There’s only four more sleeps until the big day! Today, I want share something that has become a newer tradition in our home that I started last year or the year before. You may know all about it already, but for those of you who don’t, here is my how-to for stovetop potpourri. I’m calling this recipe “Christmas Eve stovetop potpourri because you can put it on to simmer Christmas Eve, cover it over night and simmer again Christmas morning. Not only will your home smell amazing, but the colors of colors and textures of this potpourri are beautiful! <\/p>\n

There are many different “recipes” for stovetop potpourri. I have tried several different combinations, but this one is my absolutely favorite! You can get creative with this. There is no wrong or right combination. It’s all personal preference. I personally love the smell of of berries, citrus, cloves and cinnamon this time of the year. This combination gives you all of that! I tried different combinations of things over the past couple of years until I got a smell that was perfect for our home. Grab the full recipe below. <\/p>\n

Is there anything better than citrus and cinnamon at Christmas time? I love the fresh, yet warm scent it gives. For the apple, I use a granny smith, because that’s what we eat. I say use what you already have on hand. <\/p>\n

Whole cloves work great for this, but if you have trouble finding them as I have, ground cloves work just fine. <\/p>\n
