Are you ready to break out the Christmas tree? I’ve got the step by step process on how to decorate a flocked Christmas tree. I hope this post gives you all of the tips you need for a beautiful tree! <\/em><\/h3>\n

I know, I know. Many of you are probably thinking, what are you doing?<\/em> It’s too early!<\/em> Well, part of me agrees with you and in my defense, I have never put up a tree this early in the past. If you had asked me last December if I would have a tree up and decorated by this time in 2020, I would have said you’re crazy. After everything that has happened this year a pretty twinkling tree just felt right!<\/p>\n

Last year I had many readers request that I share how I decorate my trees from start to finish, so this year I have a quick video for you. It’s the step by step process that I use each year with lots of tips sprinkled throughout. <\/p>\n

We don’t purchase all new ornaments each year to decorate our trees. As much as I love a good themed tree, it’s just not practical for our budget. And to be honest, I really enjoy unpacking our ornaments each year because many of them are sentimental to us. I started collecting mercury glass ornaments 15 years ago just after Josh and I got married and our collection has grown from there.<\/p>\n

What I do like to do to change things up each year is to change which tree I use in what room and I like to use different ribbon and floral picks to fit the style or mood I’m going for that year. <\/p>\n

Last year we used this flocked tree<\/strong><\/a> in our den. (You can see our Christmas home tour from 2019 here<\/strong><\/a> and here<\/a>)<\/strong>. This year I’m using it in our master bedroom. I love the soft snow look and I really wanted the chance to incorporate pale blues and sage greens and our bedroom was the perfect place for that color scheme. This blue and white check ribbon<\/strong><\/a> that I used is what gave me the inspiration for this tree.<\/p>\n
