This macaroni & cheese recipe is one of our family’s favorites and it always makes it’s way to our Thanksgiving table! Here’s the easy recipe. <\/em><\/h3>\n

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just over a month away? This is the time each year that I start thinking about the recipes I want to make for the big day. I like to make one new recipe while continuing those tried and true favorites. While I thought about sharing a chocolate bourbon pie recipe, I decided that I really need to share my family\u2019s macaroni and cheese recipe. But I promise I\u2019ll share that pie recipe soon!<\/p>\n

Mac n’ Cheese<\/em><\/h4>\n

This macaroni and cheese recipe quickly became a crowd favorite after it was served at my sister-in-laws wedding a number of years ago and it secured its place at our table every holiday gathering ever since. Someone in our family makes sure to make it and it\u2019s delicious every time!<\/p>\n

When I was growing up we always had baked macaroni at each holiday and while it was good, it never seemed to be very creamy. This recipe changed baked macaroni for me. It\u2019s extremely creamy while still having that crispy layer on top. It’s complete mac n’ cheese perfection!<\/p>\n

This recipe isn\u2019t for the dieter. For that reason, it\u2019s not something that I make regularly but that\u2019s what makes it extra yummy at Thanksgiving. It\u2019s loaded with cream and shredded cheese and topped with golden brown bread crumbs. It\u2019s quite the holiday treat.<\/p>\n

Make It Your Own<\/em><\/h4>\n

This recipe is very versatile. While you can solely use cheddar cheese, I like to use half white cheddar and half Monterey Jack. This mix keeps it from being too sharp for the little ones, in my opinion ,but feel free to use whatever cheese fits your fancy. You can also sprinkle a 1\/4 cup of parmesan cheese on top along with the bread crumbs but I find it to be just fine without it.<\/p>\n

Our family\u2019s favorite noodles to use for this recipe are brown rice elbows<\/a> or rotini but any noodle of your choice will work just fine.<\/p>\n
