Do you crave simple? It can be easy for our seasonal decor to become overwhelming. Here’s how we created a minimalist fall bedroom! <\/i><\/h3>\n

I’ve always found the phrase, less is more<\/em>, to be true in decorating. So many of us can get a little out of hand in our seasonal decor, myself included. Over the years I’ve tried to take the less is more approach. This fall I’ve stuck with simple decor I already had on hand to create a minimalist fall bedroom. I decided to take the pressure off and opted out of my usual home tours and to decorate as I felt inspired instead and decorating has been enjoyable again and I\u2019ve been able to be intentional.  <\/p>\n

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve watched our holly bushes slowly get their berries. This week I noticed that some of the berries had ripened into the most beautiful color. They inspired me, so I cut a few a stems and brought them in. I knew their reddish-orange color would be perfect in our bedroom. <\/p>\n

Linens <\/h4>\n

The autumn season is when I like to start introducing warmer colors into our bedroom. I usually stick with cool colors until fall rolls around, but most of our linens are used year-round. I left our green and white check headboard slip cover headboard slip cover<\/a> and bed skirt along with out crisp white quilt and sheets. I simply introduced some beige linen throw pillows and an orange block print pillow cover. <\/p>\n

As many of you already know, I love switching out pillow covers with the seasons. It’s quick and somewhat inexpensive way to welcome a fresh season. <\/p>\n

No matter the time of the year, I prefer white bed linens. It just feels clean and luxurious. Boll & Branch<\/a> sheets are our absolute favorite. Their eyelet set<\/a> are my new go-to. They’re in rotation all year long at our house. The  honeycomb euro pillow covers<\/a> stayed as well. I love the texture they give our bed and as I mentioned before, you can’t go wrong with white linens. We use them season after season. <\/p>\n

The linen and gold block print pillow covers<\/a> bring some warmth and color. Nothing over the top, just simple and sweet. For a little extra coziness, I added a faux fur and knitted throw that Josh bought me for Christmas last year to the foot of the bed. The fall season in Georgia is nothing short of a yo-yo ride. We go from 80 degrees one day to 65 the next, so a heavy throw is perfect for those in-between season until it’s time to break out the down comforter. <\/p>\n

Nature’s Foliage <\/h4>\n

Remember those holly berries I mentioned before? They’re perfectly at home on my bedside table\/chest. Holly clippings are one of my favorite things to decorate with in the fall and Christmas season. Each year I make a point to bring a few clippings inside. They’ll keep for quite a while in a little water.<\/p>\n

A mix of faux and real tree clippings add a little color to this corner of our bedroom. A few branches of changing leaves are a great and inexpensive way to bring fall indoors. <\/p>\n

Just as I swapped out our cool pillow covers with warmer ones, I swapped out our chair’s white slipcover for a beige linen cover. This Rebecca chair by Ballard Designs was a $30 yard sale find. Because the chair has been discontinued, I was able to purchase several different slipcovers from the Ballard’s outlet for only $10 a piece. I just love deals like that! <\/p>\n

A couple of soft, velvet pumpkins were a Homegoods find a couple of years ago and they’re a great addition to our accent table. I’m all about soft and cozy in a bedroom. <\/p>\n

Although the fall touches are subtle, they’re just enough for us. Our room is still comfortable with just the right amount of warmth and autumn color. Do you add bits of fall decor to your bedroom?
