Need something simply yet fun to give your loved ones this Valentine’s Day? We’ve got the how-to for these stitched paper hearts. These cute Valentine’s day treat bags will make the day a little extra special and fun! <\/em><\/h3>\r\n

\"\" Are you as excited for Valentine’s day as I am? Although we keep things simple in our home it’s a day that I’ve always loved. It just makes the middle of February special. Charlie loves giving candy and little treats to a few of his friends and family members, so each year we make little goody bags. This year I wanted to do something a little different than the average plastic gift bag. These stitched paper hearts are perfect for little ones and are so much fun to break open!   Here’s how you can make them yourself – You’ll want good quality tissue paper or brown paper. We cut squares out of some brown paper bags that we had on hand.  \"\" I cute a 5″ heart out of brown paper (using the fold in half method) for my template for the other hearts. Feel free to make your paper hearts as large or small as you wish.  \"\" In order for the paper to hold together and not rip use four sheets of tissue paper per heart (two sheets per side). Using a sewing machine stitch the hearts together leaving a small opening large enough to feed your candy through. I left 1\/2″ edge around my hearts for a pretty detail. If you do not have a sewing machine you could certain hand stitch these or simply use glue. Make sure to let the glue dry completely before filling with candy.  \"\" We used M&M’s and Hershey Hugs along with a little note wishing each friend a happy Valentines Day.  \"\" You can decorate these anyway you want to. There are so many pretty tissue paper options out there. You could also let your kids write or draw on the brown paper hearts to make them extra fun.  \"\" \"\" \"\" Charlie is so excited to give these to friends and family. Now, if we can fill them without eating all of the candy, ha!  No matter how you celebrate I hope your Valentine’s day is extra sweet this year friends!
