Today I’m sharing some simple and subtle touches of Christmas that we’ve added to unexpected places in our home. My hopes is that they’ll inspire you to go beyond the family room and give those unthought of places a festive touch!<\/em><\/h4>\n

One thing that I’ve realized over the years is that my love for Christmas decor doesn’t stop with our family room, kitchen or even bedroom. It extends into our bathrooms, laundry room and office. You won’t walk in and find that a craft store exploded in the space but you will find simple and subtle touches here and there. There’s just enough to remind you of the season. <\/p>\n

In our master bathroom a mini tree and a few vintage ornaments gathered on an iron stone plate add a festive touch without taking up too much valuable counter top space. <\/p>\n

Our antique cabinet has a small faux wreath hanging by ribbon and some spruce greenery in the basket above. I love the look of a simple wreath with ribbon. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A little greenery by the tub completes the festive look. This would be a great decor item to leave out through winter. I love using items that can transition into new seasons. <\/p>\n

For our kitchen I added a wreath to our range hood which isn’t necessarily unique but I’ve always thought that hoods are such a great place for simple wreath or some garland. <\/p>\n

\"Christmas<\/p>\n

My utensil tray is a great home for my vintage and collected Santas. They’re away from table tops where they could easy fall over and break but in a spot where I can enjoy them each day. I like to keep our counter tops clean and clutter free but I made an exception for these guys. I love the pop of color they give our kitchen! <\/p>\n

For the laundry room I hung a pinecone and berry wreath above the wall sconce. I love how the pinecones really pop against the green wall color. <\/p>\n

A little greenery in an ironstone pitcher is the perfect touch for our powder room sink. Again, this is something that we can carry right into January. <\/p>\n

Whether you like to go all out with your holiday decor or stick to simple I hope this inspired you to add a little holly to those places maybe you haven’t though about before. Some of the most simple touches can give a room such a festive and inviting feel.  Even though we’re just two short weeks away from the big day I still find myself adding here and there. We decorated much more slowly this year. We’re making sure to really remember the reason for the season and to focus on what matters most.
