Fall is here friends and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! This warm & traditional fall brunch tablescape is perfect for all of your gatherings this season!<\/em><\/h3>\n

Fall marks the start of the season that I love to entertain in more than any other. I walked outside this past weekend and there it was, the smell of fall. The leaves are beginning to change and the days are getting shorter. I know most people are not a fan of the short days but I sorta enjoy them. It’s almost as if it’s God’s way of saying, go inside, relax and spend some quality time with the ones you love<\/em>. Things are just a little more cozy this time of the year.<\/p>\n

I can’t think of a better way to ring in the season than to share a tablescape with you that will get you inspired for all of those cozy days at home. I’m thrilled to be joining several blogging friends to bring you some pretty fall\/Thanksgiving tables today! My sweet friend Bre from Rooms For Rent blog<\/a><\/strong> is hosting and if you haven’t done so yet, be sure to check out her beautiful new book<\/a><\/strong> that just came out a few days ago. It just happens to be all about gathering and creating special tablescapes for just that!<\/p>\n

\"\"When it comes to entertaining my husband, Josh and I always loved it. It’s one that that we’ve always had in common in our 13 years of marriage. When we bought our first house we made sure to host a Christmas party and really any kind party we could think of. We loved having all of our friends in one place. The house just comes alive. Over the years I feel like our parties have gotten a bit smaller but more meaningful. I had the honor of hosting Thanksgiving for the first time last year for my side of the family. Friends, I don’t think there’s been anything I’ve enjoyed more! I think I pulled out every Martha Stewart book and magazine I owned to plan. It was glorious, so when Bre asked us to share our Thanksgiving or fall tables I in! <\/p>\n

When I think of a Thanksgiving tablescape my mind goes straight to moody, rich colors and candle light in a deem room. It’s a beautiful sight but I wanted to challenge myself with this table to create something a little different this time. One tradition that we have with one of our closest friends is that we celebrate a Christmas brunch a day or two before Christmas. We eat way too many pancakes, our kids exchange gifts and then we  chat by the tree with hot cocoa while the kids play. It’s one of my favorite things, so I decided a Thanksgiving or fall brunch tablescape was in order! I love the lighting in my house when it’s just after 10 a.m. Our dining room is flooded with warm light. I wanted to do the opposite of moody this time so this tablescape is light and vibrant.<\/p>\n

I kept things pretty simple as I usually do. The centerpiece is made of up flowers I picked up at the grocery store. I used a soup serving bowl to hold the mums, roses and eucalyptus. I followed a similar method here as I did with this arrangement. I used floral tape and arranged the mums and roses in the center while keeping the eucalyptus around the outside. It took just a few quick minutes.<\/p>\n

I absolutely love how vibrant they look against the neutral backdrop. I also made two smaller but similar arrangements to go on the outer sides of the hurricanes. <\/p>\n

When it comes to brunch there isn’t much I don’t like. Pastries, bagels, breakfast casseroles… I’ll take it all! For this particular brunch I served maple & brown sugar scones, which recipe I shared earlier this week. You can find that here<\/strong><\/a>. I also served blueberries donuts, coffee, and apple cider mimosas. The small pumpkin dishes held yogurt parfaits with fresh fruit. I’ve had the pumpkin dishes for a number of years now and I’ve used them for sorts of things like panna cotta, soup, fresh fruit, pumpkin cake, etc. They’re super versatile, so you can get creative.  <\/p>\n

Apple cider mimosas are very easy to whip up. 1 part bubbly and 1 part apple cider. Coat the rim of the glass with an apple and dip into cinnamon sugar and add an apple wedge for the garnish. <\/p>\n

I love that even though the room is filled with pretty sunlight and the table is light and airy that it’s still warm and cozy. Using small candles throughout the tablescape really helps to add a warm glow, morning or evening. I also brought in some warmth with plaid throw pillows in rich oranges, reds and browns. It adds a much needed pop of color to the light chairs and because I’m just sucker for a good plaid, ha! <\/p>\n
