Just outside of downtown Louisville is the Inn at Woodhaven<\/a>. The house was built in the 1800’s and was restored in the 80’s I believe. Josh and I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast, surprisingly, so this was our first time and we found ourselves quite spoiled. This Louisville\u00a0bed and breakfast is quite the historic gem!\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n

I can’t believe it’s been over two weeks since I wrote my last blog post! We’ve been traveling fools and haven’t spent quite a full week at home since mid June. Josh travels with work some so this summer Charlie and I have accompanied him a bit as well as gone a few of our own adventures. Some of you may have seen photos on IG of our trip to Maine last week. I can’t wait to share all about that with you! Today I wanted to share some photos of the Bed and Breakfast that Josh and I stayed in while we were in Louisville for a couple of days.<\/p>\n

Just outside of downtown Louisville is the Inn at Woodhaven<\/a>. The house was built in the 1800’s and was restored in the 80’s I believe. Josh and I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast, surprisingly, so this was our first time and we found ourselves quite spoiled. I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to go back. The staff at Woodhaven <\/a>was wonderful and actually showed me around the house a bit once they knew my love for old homes. This is not a sponsored post in any way I just had to share the beauty of it with you. I know you’ll love it as much as we did.<\/p>\n

This home has an abundance of beautiful porches. I could get used to one these every morning!<\/p>\n

The foyer was stunning! The trim details are\u00a0 All of the doors are over-sized so it felt absolutely huge.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The dining room was my favorite room in the house. The ceiling was beautiful and from the fireplace to the windows, there was no shortage of focal points. J and I sat at the table for two in front of the window for breakfast and it was perfection!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The parlor room has the same tall beautiful windows. We were able to look through photo books that showed the progression of the house and all of the restorations of it through the years. I’m a sucker for that sort of things so I was in heaven here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Each room is a little different. Color schemes and furniture are all unique. They have some wonderful antique pieces.<\/p>\n

We stayed in the carriage house in the cupola rooms. Each room has it own private bathroom. We had the top floor of the carriage house to ourselves. I loved the rustic look of the raw beans.<\/p>\n

There’s something so welcoming and cozy about a bed and breakfast. From the snacks and coffee to the delicious made to order breakfast, we’re sold. We’re eager to stay in another bed and breakfast and would stay in Woodhaven<\/a> again, for sure. Have you stayed in a bed and breakfast and how did you like it?<\/p>\n
