Decorating for the seasons doesn’t have to be complicated. Simple touches can make a home feel fresh and ready for summer. Here’s how I’ve used simple decorating for summer in our home!<\/em><\/h4>\n

Today is part two of our summer home tour and I’m thrilled to be sharing along side a few more of my talented friends. Our sweet host Marty from A Stroll Thru Life<\/a> has put together a great group of bloggers for ya. If you’re coming over from Jenny’s at Clean and Scentsible<\/a>, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I wanted to share our summer dining room and bedroom. Both are decorating simply and keep in line with our simple style this time of the year.<\/p>\n

\"\"I love using blues and greens in our home, especially in the summer months. I also like to move things around our home. You can get such a fresh look by using things you already have in a new way. I moved our green and white check pillow from our breakfast nook into the dining room as well as some cheery paper whites that were in my office.<\/p>\n

The buffet is also decorated very simply and ready for summer with some classic topiaries.<\/p>\n

Our master bedroom is one of my favorite rooms in our house. It’s always been a retreat for us. I recently received a beautiful blue linen duvet with white pompom trim from Magic Linen<\/a> and I’m head over hills. It’s the perfect look and feel for summer. They have so many beautiful bedding options!<\/p>\n

In the summer months I like to keep our bedding and pillows light. The soft colors make the room feel brighter and yet cozy. I kept the same beige and white check pillows I used in my spring tour. I love decor that can be used for multiple seasons. It makes things easy and budget-friendly!<\/p>\n

Peonies are blooming here currently and although they have a very short blooming season they’re one of my favorites. They smell absolutely heavenly!<\/p>\n

Summer is a laid back season for us and I wanted our home to reflect that. I try to keep things fuss-free and simple. We’re already enjoying the season so much.
