Here&#8217;s our summer mantel with collected beach treasures.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Each season I really enjoy changing decor around and creating vignettes here and there. One of my favorite places to decorate for the seasons is our mantel in our family room. Sometimes I keep it simple and other times I like to spend a little more time on it and make it more of a collection of items. I layered some pretty starfish and a raised shell print from one of my favorite antique stores. I placed shells that we found from a few beaches in our glass hurricanes. I much prefer real blooms but they&#8217;re not always practical. Lilacs don&#8217;t bloom super well here but I absolute love them. Some time back I was able to find some pretty decent looking faux lilacs at a craft store. I don&#8217;t decorate much to be honest. I do like a very light and no-fuss feel. I love love to bring the natural colors in, so there&#8217;s always some blues and greens.
