Fall decor doesn’t have to be fussy. This mini DIY wheat sheaf is simple yet elegant. With just 3 steps you’ll have a classic fall decor piece that will last for years!\u00a0<\/em><\/h2>\n

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year and with such beautiful weather, sometimes life can get a little busy. I love introducing natural decor into my home with each season but this year I\u2019ve had to keep it really simple. Charlie started kindergarten this year and we dove into the homeschooling world and since then our time has been a little more limited. I still wanted to bring some fall touches into our dining room, so along with a couple cute Jack be little’s I added a simple mini wheat sheaf to our hutch. I\u2019ve loved the natural fall feel that our DIY wheat horseshoe wreath<\/a> gave our kitchen, so I thought it would be nice to carrying that into the dining room. It’s the perfect little fall touch in this space and it took me all of ten minutes to make!<\/p>\n

\"DIY<\/p>\n

Here’s what you need:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Two bundles of wheat. I found these at my local grocery store for around $4.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Floral wire<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ribbon of choice<\/p>\n

I started by taking the two wheat bundles and gathering them, making sure to hold them all with the heads even. Once you have all of your wheat gathered, secure with floral wire. I wrapped mine around several times about two inches from the top.<\/p>\n

Next, take a pair of sharp scissors and cut off the ends. I cut my sheaf to be about 10-12 inches tall. Make sure to cut them evenly so that the sheaf will stand on it\u2019s own.<\/p>\n

Hide the floral wire with some ribbon (I used 1 1\/2\u201d satin ribbon.) and it\u2019s complete!<\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t it just too cute! I love the natural element it adds to our hutch. This little guys would look great just about anywhere, on an fireplace mantel, table centerpiece or coffee table.<\/p>\n

The brown ribbon really makes a statement with the white hutch and dishes. It\u2019s a great source of rich color.<\/p>\n

I hope you all have a wonderful October! We plan on getting some outside projects tackled and making sure we save time to make it to a pumpkin patch and a corn maze.
