I love the tree, and just because it isn’t necessary doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it if it brings you joy. You are also creating special memories for her! My daughter is a young adult and she still loves holiday lights. I had a small tabletop tree in her room when she was young. In highschool and college she had white lights strung around her ceiling, they provided such a magical glow. I personally have a hard time taking down my Christmas tree every year because I love the lights so much in the dark dreary winter. I say embrace the lights and the joy they bring! Also, that gingerbread house pillow is the cutest!
