In reply to Denise. Hello, I saw a post suggesting to use neutral paint with purple undertone. This will minimize the yellow color. You do not need to touch the cabinets, just paint walls. Good luck!

I actually saved the article that the unidentified kitchen is in. It was quite some time ago. I THINK it was from either a Colonial Homes magazine or a Traditional Homes magazine. It’s from a home in Canada (British Columbia I think), and the whole kitchen was fantastic. Real limestone floors, real stone walls, built-in floor to ceiling cabinet covering one wall, and that incredible French range….La Cornue? I still have the article, but it’s in storage as we are building our 3rd house. A nice reminder!!!

I really love them, Recently I stained them again and put a satin lacquer finish on them, they look beautiful and modern. I have silestone Blanco Orion Quartz countertops, with a small white subway tile and warm grey grout. I wish I could send you a photo of the update.

We are building , using oak to stain our cabinets. I’ve chosen special walnut in minwax. I don’t want red or yellow stain. What do you think os special walnut? Do you have any other suggestion? I’m using greige colors in the house and brown and greige vinyl on the floors. Thanks for any ideas.

I have really nice orange maple cabinets.
However, I am just over the orange.
Would love to figure another way to stain them. I don’t think I could handle darker as I had that in my old house and I like light, airy spaces. Suggestions?
