I love mixing in cuttings from my gardens even though it’s just greenery for now.
Today, styling my Craftsman bookshelves in my living room, I mixed in Gold Mop Cypress and a little Boxwood worked into a shallow oval basket of grapevine and moss balls as well as a few faux succulents and small natural looking eggs. I nestled in a white ceramic crouching bunny for a fun Pre-Easter look.
It’s mate resides on a nearby shelf next to a stack of books and a blue and white cache pot filled with more natural looking eggs.
I have a set of ceramic Quails similar to yours so I had to pull those out and tuck them near a spider plant happily residing in a big vintage dark brown etched pot sitting on the mantle in front of a westerly window.
All it takes is a few well placed touches amongst our books and other things to change the whole feel of the room.
