In reply to Ashley. I bought the table almost tens years ago from an old barn sale. It had a very 80's stain color. I did strip the top and restrained it in Miniwax Honey Oak. My table is pine though so the color may vary.

Did you buy that table with that finish on top? I have an old table I’d like to redo/sand, but it is currently very shiny oak and I want it to be more subdued. Just wondering if you have suggestions on stains/finishes to be less 80s oak colored. I’m looking for a color similar to your table in this post. Thank you!!
