Hi Rondi! The trim color is Simply White by Benjamin Moore in a semi-gloss sheen.

Thank you, Jane! We did three coats of Waterlox. Three coats with their recommendation for butcher block counter tops. The grout that we used for the back splash was Mapei brand from Floor & Decor. The color I believe was called Frost. As far as the spacer size I honestly don’t remember completely. It was a smaller size, I’m thinking 3/16″. I hope that helps! 🙂

After I read you post, I decide to give my kitchen a new look. I am curious if you could tell me how many layers of Waterlox sealer did you apply to your Ikea butcher block counter? Also, would you mind to share the brand/type/color of the grout you used with the tile and the spacer size in between the tiles? Thanks much for your help!

Thank you so much Tricia! That just makes my day. 🙂 We did paint the cabinets ourselves. They’ll turn out great if you’re sure to do all of the prep work. We took the doors down and deep cleaned them with a degreaser – TSP. You can purchase it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. We then sanded the doors really well with 120 grit. I used Benjamin Moore’s cabinet paint. It has a primer in the paint already so I painted two coats. First, use a brush in the inside of the front panels and when with a foam roller roller the rest. Do thin coats to prevent running. Wait until they have completely dried, two days or so before hanging them up again. 🙂
