I am looking at your Christmas post in May. I love it! You made your home so pretty for Christmas. With Christmas 2021, I donated 6 boxes of “Christmas clutter.”. And a tree. I have 2 to 3 totes of Christmas decor now, and one of those totes is for the cords and lights, not decor objects per se. The old tree was too big and heavy. I donated it and only kept a slim tree that is very nice but not one that is the type to be shedding or heavy. With Christmas stuff, I think it is easy to end up with too much glitter and too much stuff, and feeling overwhelmed at home with style that isn’t cozy or peaceful if you overdo it. I have done different things, but I don’t really want the tacky stuff, though I think if someone wants to go wild with the sweet tacky look for fun, go for it! I enjoy that style when I see it in homes, especially with children there to enjoy the look and the toys. I am more into your style and not a ton of work to put it away at our home. Plus in a small house the sweet cheesy Christmas look can be too much glitter and too many things so fast. I know Christmas is 7 months away, but I am looking forward more to it with less stuff, and the stuff I kept is the nicest of what I had.

I love love love how you decorated your kitchen. Everything is so simplistically beautiful. It’s just perfect. The garland over the doorway with the vintage postcards is stunning.
